Shihan Ben Ledwick Yondan (4th dan)

Profile

I have always had the bug for martial arts ever since I was young.  My first chance came after my grandmother started taking lodgers in from the local teaching college.  I was introduced to Master Keith Stangoe, and begun my studies in Tang Soo Do  To help feed my addiction in the martial arts I started also training in karate.  it also happened at the same venue.  Some years later I hurt my knee and had a break for a while.  However I was really itching to get back into martial arts.  A friend was studying jujitsu and said I should go along and have a go.  this was where I had the good fortune to meet up with Master David Walsh.  He become not only my jujitsu instructor but also mentor and friend.  I trained with Master Walsh until his untimely death in 2004.  During the time I spent with Master Walsh  he graded me to Sandan in Kempo Jujitsu and Sandan in Katori Goshin Jutsu.  I was also awarded the title of Renshi by Grandmaster Bernie Witcher (10th Dan) in 2002.  In late 2003 I started training in Aiuchi Jiu Jitsu under Sensei Dave Evans and Sensei Keith Cooper.  In February 2005 the British Kempo Society was formed.  In September 2005 I was graded to yondan (4th Dan) in Kempo Ju Jitsu.
