ProfileAfter struggling with a highly stressful job for many years, I decided that I needed to “do something” before I completely lost my marbles! This was when I was introduced to Master Walsh and started Tai Chi for relaxation. I became fascinated in the whole holistic topic and after much research I started a course in Reiki where I gained my Level 1 and later my Level 2 practitioner. I also started researching Crystal Healing. I am now a fully qualified practitioner though the International Institute of Holistic Therapies. After the untimely death of Master Walsh I sought Tai Chi instruction from many sources, watching the interpretation of the moves and listening to the philosophy behind this complex Martial Art which can be as individual as those that practice it. After I retired I spent a lot of time looking after my elderly mother until her death in 2005. At this point I deciding that I wanted to share what I knew and help others escape the position I had found myself in a few years before! Having been an instructor and a trauma councillor as part (one of many parts) of my previous profession, teaching Tai Chi/Qigong seemed to be a logical, progressive step to take. I started teaching ‘small’ classes (my preference) of Tai Chi Qigong at BICAMA and went about designing and building The Wu Chi Sanctuary where we now practice Tai Chi, Qigong and Reiki. My continued training, reading and research into this area opens new doors of thought and different avenues to pursue that the vastness overwhelms me. I am convinced I will never be lost for something to read for the rest of my life and each book sparks a new thought, new avenue and something different to try!
